GEM IN – Game to Embrace Intercultural Education is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission under the Key Action 3 – Social inclusion through education, training and youth.
The purpose is to support intercultural education at school and in non-formal youth environments as vehicle to foster social inclusion, cross-cultural dialogue and active citizenship by promoting European values. At the same time the project intends to provide inputs and policy recommendations for intervention strategies to promote intercultural education and active citizenship through an innovative educational framework.
This two-year project started in January and integrates a partnership of 10 organisations with wide experience in education for citizenship and social inclusion, from six different countries (Austria, Cyprus, France, Italy, Greece and Portugal).
One of the first steps of GEM IN is to perform a study for the identification of practices and tools usually used in formal and non-formal educational contexts in the partnership countries related to the promotion of citizenship. To this end, the consortium has developed a country-specific questionnaire to gather information at national level, addressed to professionals acting in formal and non-formal of learning of young people (e.g. teachers, educators, social entertainers, among others). The “Questionnaire – Game to Embrace Intercultural Education” is available to be filled in by professionals from partners’ countries, accessible in the following links:
